Ticket, Exchange & Refund Policy

Beirut Film Society — Canada · 100-2555 Boul. le Corbusier, Laval, Québec H7S 2H2 · [email protected]

All ticket sales are final. We do not give refunds. If your plans change we will try to move your ticket to another person or another screening instead. Please read section 2 before you buy.

1. No refunds

Tickets are not refundable. Once you have bought a ticket the sale is final, whether or not you are able to use it. This applies to every ticket, pass and bundle, at every venue, and it applies from the moment the purchase goes through.

We are a non-profit and we commit to venues, guests and prints on the strength of tickets sold, so we cannot carry the cost of cancellations. Please be sure of your plans before you buy.

A ticket that has already been scanned at the door counts as used.

2. Exchanges and transfers

Because we do not refund, the way we help is to transfer your ticket — to another person, or to another screening, subject to availability. There is no charge for a transfer. Write to [email protected] with your order number and we will move it.

Each ticket is issued in the attendee's name. If you are giving a ticket to someone else, tell us the new name so the door has a match.

3. Exceptional circumstances

Illness, bereavement and travel disruption happen. There is no entitlement to a refund in these cases, but do write to us: we would rather move your ticket than see the seat go empty, and a transfer is almost always possible. Anything beyond a transfer is at our discretion and is decided case by case.

4. If we cancel or reschedule

If Beirut Film Society cancels a screening, you are refunded in full, automatically, to the original payment method. If a screening is rescheduled, your ticket is valid for the new date; if you cannot attend, you may request a full refund instead.

5. Multi-screening passes

A pass covering several screenings is issued as one ticket per screening, each scanning at its own door. A pass is sold as a single, final purchase: it is not refundable, and it cannot be split up or partly returned if you attend some screenings and not others. A pass can be transferred as a whole to another person.

6. How to reach us

Email [email protected] or use the support page in your account. Include your order number so we can find the ticket quickly.

This policy does not limit any right you have under Québec or Canadian consumer protection law.
