Ticket Terms & Conditions
Beirut Film Society — Canada · 100-2555 Boul. le Corbusier, Laval, Québec H7S 2H2 ·
[email protected]
These terms apply to tickets bought on beirutfilmsociety.ca and lebanoncinemadays.com.
1. Who we are
Beirut Film Society is a non-profit film organisation based in Laval, Québec. We programme screenings and festivals in Canada, including Lebanon Cinema Days. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Beirut Film Society, and "you" means the person buying or holding a ticket.
2. What these terms cover
These terms cover buying a ticket from us and using it to attend a screening or event. Two other pages form part of them and are worth reading before you buy:
- Ticket, Exchange & Refund Policy — what happens if your plans change. This is the authoritative document on refunds and transfers.
- Privacy Policy — what we do with your personal information.
Where those pages and this one differ, those pages govern their own subject.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are in Canadian dollars. Any applicable taxes are calculated and shown to you at the payment step, before you commit. We accept payment by card through Stripe, and by Interac e-Transfer or bank transfer. We do not store your card details; card payments are handled by our payment provider.
Your order is complete when payment succeeds and we send you a confirmation email. If payment does not complete, no ticket is issued and no seat is held.
4. Your ticket
Each ticket is issued in the attendee's name and carries a code that is scanned at the door. A ticket admits one person to the screening named on it, and each ticket scans once. A ticket that has already been scanned counts as used.
If you are buying for other people, please give us their names — the door checks the name against the ticket. If a name needs to change afterwards, tell us and we will change it, free of charge.
A pass covering several screenings is issued as one ticket per screening, each scanning at its own door.
5. Refunds, exchanges and transfers
All ticket sales are final and we do not give refunds. What we do instead is transfer your ticket, free of charge, to another person or to another screening, subject to availability. Email [email protected] with your order number.
The full rules, including what happens in exceptional circumstances and how passes are treated, are set out in the Ticket, Exchange & Refund Policy. Please read it before buying.
6. If we cancel or reschedule
If we cancel a screening, you are refunded in full, automatically, to the original payment method. If a screening is rescheduled, your ticket is valid for the new date, and if you cannot attend you may ask for a full refund instead.
Programmes can change. Guests, running order and start times are sometimes adjusted at short notice, and a change of this kind is not on its own a cancellation. We publish changes on the event page and email ticket holders where we can.
7. Photography and filming at our events
We photograph and film our screenings and receptions, and we publish some of those images to report on the festival. If you would prefer not to appear, tell a member of our team at the venue or email us, and we will do our best to keep you out of shot and will remove a published image of you on request.
8. Your personal information
We collect the details needed to issue your ticket, get you through the door and contact you about the screening you booked. We only send you marketing email if you ask us to, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
9. Accessibility and getting help
If you have an access requirement, or anything goes wrong with an order, email [email protected] with your order number. We would much rather hear from you before the screening than after it.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version published here at the time you buy is the one that applies to your purchase.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable there.
Be first to know
Programme announcements, presale access before the public, and festival news. A few emails a year, never more.
